The A-Z of Ailments, Conditions and Injuries
By the end of the year, all pupils will have had a chance to produce a fact file and possibly some other associated work with each of the following 20+ ailments/conditions. The fact files created by the pupils will allow them and other readers to learn;
1. The definition/meaning of the injury, condition or ailment,
2. What causes the injury condition or ailment,
3. The signs and symptoms associated with it,
4. How to practically treat the casualty, and
5. Any aftercare that is recommended.
As a first aid elective pupil you should remember to check off your completed fact file on your paper 'Check off List' thus allowing you to see how much work you have completed (and how much you still have to do!).
We will have a Fact File Check off list and a PRACTICAL SKILLS check off list.
